Doe de check

Vul je adres in en zie binnen een halve minuut hoe een taalmodel je site leest.

The check takes about half a minute. We retrieve your site once and do not store any personal data.

What we check

Twenty points, in four groups. Everything that determines whether a language model can read, understand and recommend your site.

Access for AI crawlers

We read your robots.txt to see which crawlers you let in. GPTBot and ClaudeBot collect material, while OAI-SearchBot determines whether ChatGPT can cite you as a source. That is not the same thing.

An llms.txt

A short file in which you explain in plain language what you offer and where your main pages are. Few sites have one yet, and it takes ten minutes.

Schema.org and your facts

Are your company name, address, phone number and opening hours in machine-readable form on your site? Without those details, a model has to guess, and then it would rather not mention you.

Text in the HTML

We count how much text there is in the source code. If your content only appears after JavaScript has run, many AI crawlers will see a blank page.

Structure and alt texts

One clear h1, a logical structure of your headings and alt texts that describe what is in a photo. That is the structure on which a model bases its answer.

Speed and accessibility

How quickly your server responds, and whether your site does not quietly lock out unknown visitors. A crawler that times out will not return.

Why this? something other than an SEO check

An SEO tool checks whether Google can index you and how you rank for keywords. That remains important, but a language model does something different. It reads your text and tries to turn it into an answer to someone else's question.

For that, it needs facts that are correct and in one place: what you do, for whom, where, and what sets you apart. If that is missing, you won't be described incorrectly, but left out altogether. That is quieter and therefore harder to notice.

Precisely that difference is measured by this check. You get the summary that a model makes of your company, including what it could not determine.

What is in the full report state

On the screen you will see your score, the summary and the three most difficult points. The full report continues:

  • All findings, grouped by subject, with the action you are taking for each point
  • The full list of what a model couldn't determine about you
  • An order: the first five things you pick up
  • A unique link, so you can share the report with whoever needs to carry it out

What you can do yourself even

You don't need us to get started. Three things that make a difference today and that you can sort out without a developer:

  • Put your address, phone number and opening hours in the footer on every page, and make sure they are the same everywhere
  • On your main page, state in the first two sentences what you do, for whom and where.
  • Answer the questions customers ask literally on your site, in plain English

That last bit isn’t a trick for models. It’s precisely what a visitor is looking for too.

Better someone who watches along?

The checker tells you what's going on. If you'd like someone to fix it as well, or want to know what it means for your site, we'd be happy to take a look together. No sales pitch, just a conversation about what's to be gained.
