Three pathways, three bandwidths

Most requests fall into one of these three. The stated amounts are market ranges for agency work, not our price list: where your project ends up depends on the design and integrations, not the number of pages.

Compact website: €2,500 to €7,500

A sharp website for service providers who want to be found and receive enquiries. Custom design, no template, and a CMS you can manage yourself.

Bespoke website: € 6,000 to € 20,000

The category that most of our projects fall into. Components that we design especially for you, multiple languages, integrations with a CRM or booking system, and room to continue building after delivery. If we build on WordPress, we do so with our own block system: that's how a Get a WordPress website made with us.

Webshop platform: €10,000 and more

Webshops, customer portals and applications with custom logic. This is where most of the time goes into functionality and technology rather than design.

Further development after delivery

Many clients choose a fixed monthly budget to keep building. New pages, campaigns and improvements based on what the figures show.

Hosting and maintenance

Updates, backups, monitoring and security. We run our sites on our own servers, so if anything goes wrong we intervene ourselves instead of forwarding a ticket.

Lease a website

Prefer a fixed monthly amount over a lump-sum investment? You can now do that with us. You get the same quality, we retain ownership of the management and the site.

Why there is no fixed price here, and yes in your quotation

A bespoke website by an agency in the Netherlands usually costs between €6,000 and €20,000. That range comes from published market overviews, not from a price list of ours.

Why we don't have a price list ourselves: a price list suits templates. We build every website ourselves, in our own code, without standard themes. Two bespoke sites with the same number of pages can therefore differ by a factor of three.

What we do: design first, then calculate. The amount in your quote is the amount on the invoice. Additional work is discussed in advance, never afterwards.

One thing upfront: we operate in the higher-end segment. A design team first creates the complete design, independently of any tool, and we build that down to the very pixel. Agencies that design using a page builder finish faster, but deliver only what that particular tool happens to be capable of.

Where does the difference in investment lie?

Not in the number of pages, that is the most common misconception. The difference lies mainly in these five things:

  • How many unique screens need to be designed. Twenty pages with the same layout cost less than five pages that are all different
  • Whether there are integrations with other systems. A booking system, a stock integration or a CRM changes the project fundamentally
  • Whether the website is multilingual. A second language affects the layout, the URL structure and the management
  • Who supplies the copy and images. Content is often the biggest bottleneck and the biggest hidden cost.
  • How much still happens after delivery. A site that is finished upon launch requires less than a site that continues to grow for months

During the consultation, we will go through these five points with you. Afterwards, you will know what your project requires and why.

What you get from us for that investment

We aren't an agency that just executes what's in the brief. If we think an idea isn't going to work, we say so, even if it would have been easier to just build it.

Everyone working on your project is an expert in their own field. No junior taking over after completion, no account manager passing questions on to someone else. You talk to the people who are building it.

We have our own building system, so we don't reinvent a form or an accordion every single time. That time goes towards the things that actually make a difference for you.

We do not compete on price. A website that you have to replace again in two years' time is ultimately more expensive than a website that grows with you.

New: lease your website

Not every company wants or is able to pay for a website all at once. That is why we recently started offering the option to lease: you pay a fixed amount per month and we build, host, maintain and continue to develop.

In that case, the website remains our property. On the other hand, you have no upfront investment, updates and maintenance are included, and we will continue to make improvements for as long as the partnership lasts.

It is not a cheaper version of the same thing. It is the same quality with a different payment method, for business owners who prefer to spread their budget.

Visible on Google and in AI answers

More and more people are asking their questions not to Google, but to ChatGPT or Gemini. Those models cite websites, and whether your site is included depends on how it is structured.

That is why we build as standard with a clear heading structure, structured data and texts that actually answer a question instead of talking around it. We do not charge extra for that; it is how we work.

Frequently asked questions about the costs

The questions we get most often when someone wants to know what a website costs. Can't see your question? Call or submit the form, and we'll simply reply.

Wouldn't it be better if I built my own website?

Building it yourself with Wix or Squarespace costs €150 to €400 a year, plus your own hours. For a portfolio or a hobby project, that is fine.

It is the same with your business as it is with your car. You can tinker with it yourself, but for servicing you go to the garage. Not because you are too stupid to change an oil filter, but because you would rather spend your hours on your own work and because a mechanic hears what you do not hear. Let us be the nerds, so you can get on with business.

By the way, you notice the cost of doing it yourself first in the speed and the findability. You are stuck with what the tool can handle, and that is precisely what Google pays attention to.

My budget is lower than those ranges. Is there any point in calling?

Yes. Just put it in the form or say it over the phone. Then we will see what does fit: fewer unique designs, text and images that you supply yourself, an integration that comes in a second phase, or leasing instead of buying. You will hear honestly from us whether it is feasible, even if the answer is no.

How much does a website cost at an agency?

For a compact website, market prices are between €2,500 and €7,500. A custom-built website is usually between €6,000 and €20,000, and for a webshop or platform, it starts at around €10,000. Freelancers are generally below that, while the large agencies are above it. What your project requires depends on the design and the integrations.

What does a web designer charge per hour?

Freelancers typically charge €50 to €100 per hour, agencies €90 to €150. With us, you don't get an hourly rate for a website, but a project price that has been calculated in advance and is fixed in your quote. Further development after delivery is charged by the hour, or you can take out a fixed monthly budget.

What are the monthly costs of a website?

Expect €10 to €50 a month for hosting and €50 to €200 for maintenance, updates and backups. We run our sites on our own servers, so if anything goes wrong we intervene ourselves. If you want everything for a fixed monthly amount, including the build, you can have your website with us lease.
